| Roger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bob Jones University in Practical Christian Training with an emphasis in music, as well as a Master of Arts degree from Pensacola Christian College in Sacred Music with an emphasis on conducting and composition. For over forty years Roger has been active in music performance and education. He has served as the music director in churches in Georgia, Michigan, Ohio and North Carolina and has been involved in teaching vocal and instrumental music on the elementary and high school levels. He has also served as adjudicator, lecturer and guest conductor in various music competitions and conferences both nationally and internationally. Roger has studied conducting, composition and theory with Dr. Frank Garlock, an internationally known conductor, composer and music publisher, as well as studying voice with Raymond Gibbs, formerly of the Metropolitan Opera. While continuing to stay active musically, Roger now serves as the senior pastor of Tri-City Baptist Church, in Huntersville, NC. | ||
